Baked Pears with Raspberries

Fruit for dessert? Too boring! Not if you bake it! It's so much easier to bake fruit than poaching them. And pears are one of the best fruits to bake!

This recipe is so crazy-simple it almost doesn't qualify as a recipe. But it's so warming and delicious on a cold winter's evening, and so utterly satisfying I had to share it.

Trust me - you don't need to add any sweetener at all to this dish. The pears are sweet enough.

Ingredients

4 pears, peeled and sliced
1 punnet raspberries
OPTIONAL: Juice of half a lemon. Use the lemon juice if you want to prevent the pears from discolouring. I rarely bother to do this!

Method

Arrange pears in a baking dish
Sprinkle raspberries on top
Bake in pre-heated oven (180 degrees celsuis) for 20-30 minutes. How long you bake your pears for will depend on how soft you like them. If you want them really soft and almost stewed, then cover them with foil or baking paper when you are baking them so they don't dry out too much.

Serve and enjoy!

This dish is delicious with my Maple Spiced Cashew "Creme" which you can find HERE!
