RECIPES

This is where I keep all of the recipes I post! All are delicious, nutritious, super-simple and fast to make. You can read about my food philosophy here. These are the meals we cook and eat in my home, and they're snapped with my iPad as I’m cooking or just before we devour them! There are no stock photos, nothing fake or contrived (please remember this if you are feeling judgy about my photo styling!!). I usually publish at least 2 new recipes each week (and sometimes a lot more!), so check back from time to time to see what I have created for you. Or better still - sign up to my mailing list to get new recipes delivered straight to your inbox and access to helpful free resources exclusively for mailing list members!

Red Capsicum (Bell Pepper) & Walnut Pesto (Dip)
Red Capsicum (Bell Pepper) & Walnut Pesto (Dip)

This is a super-simplified version of the popular Middle Eastern dish Muhummara. Purists would "sweat" the capsicums (bell peppers) and remove the skin after baking or blistering them over an open flame. I find this to be fiddly and time consuming, and honestly this recipe tastes just as nice if I don't bother to remove the capsicum skins!

Low(er) Sugar Cranberry and Apple Sauce
Low(er) Sugar Cranberry and Apple Sauce

One of the best things about making your own food is that you become conscious of what goes into processed and restaurant foods. And nowhere is this more relevant than when making Cranberry Sauce. If you look around at recipes you will see that making cranberry sauce involves a LOT of sugar.Right now we are getting ready for a Healthy Thanksgiving at my place next month. And there's no way we're serving up a sauce containing that much sugar! So we set out to make our own healthier version, trying to make a delicious sauce using only a fraction of the sugar. This we what I came up with, and it's pretty darn good if I do say so myself!
