Maple Spiced Cashew "Creme"

This is a delicious plant-strong dessert accompaniment.


1 cup raw, unsalted cashews, soaked in water for 30 minutes - 1 hour
3 teaspoons maple syrup
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon mixed spice (or cinnamon and/or ginger)


Place all ingredients in a high speed blender. I use the Vitamix S30 as it is powerful and suitable for blending small amounts like this.
Blend at high speed for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until a smooth creamy texture is achieved.

Serve with a beautiful fresh fruit platter or a delicious dessert like my Super-Healthy Apple & Blackberry Crumble with Maple Spiced Cashew "Creme" or Baked Pears with Raspberries.
